Take
a beautiful step back in time....
Anlaby is one of Australia's great
homesteads and one of the first grand rural properties in South
Australia. Settled in 1841 by F.H. Dutton and reaching it's heyday
in the Edwardian era when it hosted the Prince of Wales, Anlaby
retains much of the splendour of those days in the existing
buildings.
Anlaby is in the process of being
restored, breathing life into the buildings and gardens that once
echoed to the sounds of a bustling rural community.
More like a village than a farm, the 250
acre property comprises the homestead, the Manor House, the folly,
cottages for the head gardener, coachman and kennel master, coach
houses, stables and kennels plus the acres of formal gardens and out
buildings.
